About:
Hi, I’m Theresa — owner of Little Sprouts Learning Place. I’ve provided childcare for over 19 years and opened Little Sprouts when my own children were preschool age. I’m married, have two adult children, and two friendly Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who stay outside the childcare space.
Little Sprouts offers a play‑based environment with monthly learning themes that support early literacy, creativity, independence, and social development. My goal is to create a space where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.
What Learning Looks Like Here
Learning blends play‑based exploration, monthly themes, and a predictable daily routine. Children participate in:
- Process Art — creativity and fine‑motor development
- Alphabet & Early Language — early literacy foundations
- Music & Movement — rhythm, coordination, self‑expression
- Hands‑On Math & Science — counting, sorting, observing, exploring
- Social Development — communication, sharing, problem‑solving
- Free Play — imagination, independence, child‑led learning
We also focus on practical self-help skills every day.
Children learn:
- Putting on shoes and outerwear
- Washing hands independently
- Cleaning up their play spaces
- Managing simple routines like snack prep or packing up belongings
These skills build confidence, responsibility, and readiness for K4/K5.
